Behavior Therapy (Intensive Home or School Intervention) Services Provided for children diagnosed with an Autism, Developmental, or Behavioral Disabilities, intervention is based on empirically supported treatments and the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (for a more detailed explanation of Applied Behavior Analysis “ABA”, visit the “Research” portion of this website). Emerge, P.C. is aware of the importance of early and intensive intervention administered in a naturalistic setting. Our staff has received training in many techniques such as Pivotal Response Treatment (Koegel & Koegel), Verbal Behavior (Sunberg & Partington), the UCLA Model (Lovaas), the Denver Model (Rogers et al.), Floortime (Greenspan), Incidental Learning (McGee) and others. We continue to draw on state-of-the-art techniques to individualize effective treatment for each client. Our intervention is comprehensive and can address cognitive deficits in receptive and expressive language, social and emotional development, attention, motor skills, and adaptive behaviors. Research has shown that all children with Autism typically make progress, to varying degrees, with this type of intervention. Upon completion of the program, families will have a detailed assessment of skills, a comprehensive treatment plan, additional knowledge and strategies for assisting their child, and opportunity for future consultation. Individualized treatment services are provided for your child as well as introductory training in therapeutic intervention strategies for the child’s parents, caregivers and other personnel. The program varies in length and hours of treatment, based upon the needs of the child and family. Treatment is administered by Bachelor’s or Master’s level clinician(s) and is supervised by Helena Huckabee, Ph.D., BCBA. The program also includes clinic sessions every 1 – 4 weeks that are 1-2 hours in length, where progress is reviewed and treatment modifications are introduced. Charges for Behavior Therapy services vary from $50-$60/hour and $75-$140/hour for clinical oversight. Fees for the program are payable in monthly installments at the beginning of each month. For more information about our Intensive Behavior Therapy services, please contact our office to schedule a consultation with one of our clinicians. Clients can also receive integrated speech-language therapy or occupational therapy consultations in concert with Intensive Behavior Therapy to capitalize on expertise in all disciplines and maximize the client’s progress.
